Maybe every year I say the same thing, but I really feel like this 2021 went too fast. Undoubtedly, the last two years have been intense to say something, full of stress and that have left a mark on us all. We have learned many things as well, including that health, both physical and mental, cannot be neglected.
I know that I am not the only one who has this purpose for 2022, do we not propose the same in relation to health every end of the year? Thinking of making a list of data and information that will help me achieve my goals, I decided to share them because if it works for me, it can help you too.
I recently had a general medical check-up and although everything went well, it reminded me of the importance of not letting time go by since the best medicine is preventive. A few months ago I was telling you about an initiative called Taking Action for Your Health, a project between Anthem, Inc., Beckman Research Institute of Hope and Pfizer Inc. who have established themselves as trusted health partners to support our community as we navigate for the pandemic. This initiative was created with the goal of improving the lives and health of communities and helping build a better, more equitable, and healthier America by providing resources to protect people’s health: learn, act, monitor progress, and help others to do the same.
Taking Action for Our Health consists of four programs that offer valuable information on:
- Cancer screenings
- Heart health
- Emotional health
- Prediabetes
Taking Action for Our Health highlights the central role of health in people’s lives, the importance of prevention and well-being.
The COVID-19 pandemic has had incredible consequences for the mental, physical and financial health of our communities. Initiatives like this provide the essential resources that people need.
Navigating the Taking Action for your Health page, I found a section called Caring for your Family, in which there are several very interesting PDFs on health, stress, and emotional health. The image you see above is taken from there, I recommend visiting the page to read all the presentations since they contain very interesting and practical information and advice.
Visit the page and remember that they have very practical services for our community: Taking Action for Our Health
Until next time and may health be a priority in 2022.
